The first improvement is the unique optical coating applied not only to the lenses, but also the prism, which delivers even higher levels of light wavelength transmission than its predeccessor and across the entire colour spectrum. PROMINAR optics deliver high light transmission across all wavelengths of light to achieve a natural, comfortable and truly realistic image that is worthy of the subject you are viewing.
100% pure fluorite crystal
Another aspect is the unique use of a fluorite crystal convex lens, which is only found in PROMINAR spotting scopes. When combined with a concave lens featuring our newly developed optical coatings, it elimates chromatic aberration (one of the major causes of deterioration of viewing quality) and increases resolution, contrast and low light performance even at the highest levels of magnifications.

Better stability and aiming sights
In order to spend hours outside, you need maximum security – the new dual tripod mounting system allows you to connect the scope to a tripod mounting plate using two securing screws. It guarantees ultimate stability and security all day long, as there is no need to readjust or tighten the scope to the tripod.
The spotting scope includes a new detachable aiming site that can be fixed on to the accessory collar to assist in locating your subject more rapidly. The lens hood also features a newly designed built in aiming site as a further visual aid.
Here to stay
Built to last a lifetime with a 100% magnesium alloy body, which makes the scope stronger and lighter than ist predecesor. The scope is also fully sealed and waterproof.
A newly designed 95mm filter thread that is placed on the actual body of the scope can be utilised to connect the TP-95FT filter to protect the 88mm objective lens from dust, dirt, grease and other foreign objects. The repositioning of the filter thread to the main body of the scope eliminates a cavity between the objective lens and filter.
