I need help identifying my Kowa eyepiece
Let's face it - eyepieces all look the same! But take a closer look and you should be able to identify which model you have - our simple guide below will give you some additional clues as to which eyepiece you own.
TE-11WZ
Magnification: 25-60x Wideangle-Zoom
This eyepiece is compatible with current TSN-880 and 770 spotting scope models.
This eyepiece is easy to identify, on the barrel you will see a white "PROMINAR" logo, this is the only eyepiece to feature this logo.
You will also clearly see the name "TE-11WZ" on the barrel as well as indicators for 25x 40x and 60x.
The diameter of the eyepiece cap measures 55mm.
TE-10Z
Magnification: 20-60x Zoom
This eyepiece is compatible with current TSN-880 and 770 spotting scope models.
This eyepiece is no longer in production and was the predecessor to the TE-11WZ.
You should see a red Kowa logo. The magnification indicators are clearly marked in white at 20x, 40x and 60x. You should also notice 20-60x and the word "KOWA" in white written on the barrel.
The diameter of the eyepiece cap measures 55mm.
TE-17W
Magnification: 30x Fixed WIDE
This eyepiece is compatible with current TSN-880 and 770 spotting scope models.
This eyepiece is no longer in production.
You should see a red Kowa logo. On the barrel you should see the words "30x WIDE KOWA" in white as well as the words "MADE IN JAPAN"
The diameter of the eyepiece cap measures 55mm.
The barrel and eye relief cap are black.
TSE-Z9B
Magnification: 20-60x Zoom
This eyepiece is compatible with current TSN-600, TSN-660M and 82-SV spotting scope models.
The magnification indicators are clearly marked in white at 20x and 60x
You should see a red Kowa logo. On the barrel you should see the words "MADE IN JAPAN"
The diameter of the eye relief cap measures 50mm.
The barrel and eye relief cap are black.
TSE-14WD
Magnification: 30x Fixed WIDE
This eyepiece is compatible with current TSN-600, TSN-660M and 82-SV spotting scope models.
You should see a red Kowa logo. On the barrel you should see the words "MADE IN JAPAN". Some models will have "30X" in white on the barrel and some will have "30X WIDE"
The diameter of the eye relief cap measures 50mm.
The barrel and eye relief cap are black.
TSE-7Z
Magnification: 20-60x Zoom
This eyepiece is compatible with the discontinued TSN-820 and TSN-820M spotting scope models.
This eyepiece is no longer in production.
You should see a red Kowa logo. The magnification indicators are clearly marked in white at 20x and 60x. On the barrel you should see the words "MADE IN JAPAN". You may see the marking ""

TSE-9WD
